In a unexpected partnership that defies usual expectations, the game developer has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Disclosed
According to the official release, "A mysterious encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of forbidden practices and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden group.
The adventure concentrates on "peculiar trials and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Changes
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Bonus Content
Players who accomplish the quest will acquire an unique katana alongside numerous objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
